OUR PROGRAMS

SAM’s House Emergency Shelter

Our seasonal shelter is open November 1 through April 30.  SAM’s House provides temporary shelter for men, women, and families with children who are experiencing homelessness during the winter months.  Guests are also provided with personal care items and meals to meet their basic needs.

Guest Check in is 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Guest Check out: 8:00 a.m.  No pets are allowed in the shelter, but we will work with you to find a temporary home for your pet.  In order to keep our guests, staff, and volunteers safe and secure we perform background checks, the following will result in denied entry to SAM's House: 1. Possession of Weapons, 2. Outstanding Warrants, 3. Conviction for Violent Crime, 4. Conviction for Sexual Crime. Please contact us if you are in need of assistance. We are here to help you even if you do not wish to stay in shelter.

The Steps to Success Program is designed for SAM’s House guests.  The program guides individuals who are homeless to community resources, including federal and state programs.  It also expands into teaching life skills that will aid them to getting back on their feet and out of shelter to positive, permanent housing.
